Halloween 2009

Jez got these pumpkins from his work...
I think it is the first year all of our kids got to
carve a pumpkin. They had so much fun!

Jacie

Talden was in his run club at school.
On his last day they did a fun run.

(Talden is just in front of these three girls...
his school teacher is the one in the black jacket)

Talden looking at the beautiful trees next to the
running trail... we were walking back to the
parking lot and stopped to take pictures.

Oh, and he is in band now and this was the first day he
got to bring home his trombone. :)

Jez bought me some beautiful flowers.

We drove up to Duluth to visit his brother Jade.
It was cold and windy.

Jacie's Golden Birthday

Jacie's Birthday

Disney MP3 Player from Grandma & Grandpa

The Castle Cake
We made hers from Strawberry Cake
and then added lots of pink frosting
and sprinkles... then we decorated it
with glitter cake gel and plastic princess rings
from the $1 aisle. Jacie decorated most of the
cake all by herself!

We used ice cream cones dipped in white chocolate
(turned purple chocolate) for the turrets.

Finished product...
(yes the star candles are secured only by cooled chocolate...)

The grass was made from white (green) chocolate
with green sugar crystals sprinkled on top.

They liked it!

Happy Birthday Jacie!!
We love you!

Talden's Birthday

Talden's Birthday

Volcano Cake!
It is kind of hard to see but the volcano is made
out of Devil's Food cake and then we covered it with
melted chocolate and drizzled it with Hershey's syrup.
The rocks are made from chocolate covered cookie
dough bites and crushed Oreos. The light red lava,
river and grass are made from white chocolate with
food coloring and the animals are plastic.
The hot lava is from cherry pie filling...
Talden's favorite! :)
(And we lit it with sparklers/candles)

Happy Birthday Talden!
We love you.
